Start with the precise ingredient name, required mineral form, order quantity and delivery location. Include your purchasing specification if you already have one. For a repeat order, identify the approved grade and the document revision you use.

Define the elemental assay and its basis, the complete ingredient composition, physical form and particle-size requirements. If you have binder restrictions, density limits or microbial limits, state them before evaluating a sample. Do not assume that different powders and granules are interchangeable.

List the documents your quality team needs and the intended destination market. Ask for the applicable specification and the batch-related documents when reviewing an order. An RFQ should also explain your required timing, sample destination and pickup or delivery preference.
